Life flies by us quickly. We more often look ahead to what is to come than enjoy what is now. My series 'TRANSIENCE' is about that. All the paintings in this collection share the color rust. But it is also about aging processes that, contrary to what many people think, are very beautiful. We admire roses for their beauty when in bloom, but the process of wilting is also beautiful.
De verwelkte rode rozen krijgen een prachtig scala van roesttinten. Ik heb deze blaadje verwerkt in Kiss from a Rose’, vernoemd naar het prachtig nummer van Seal.
